This year, the Calgary Stampede is from July 8th to July 18th. So to start it off today there was the annual Stampede Parade.
This year, we made sure to get there extra early to see William and Kate doing the reverse parade route before it started. The parade was really fun except that we had to wait a while before the parade started because we were close to the end. I was able to get my face painted and get a balloon animal hat in our section. There were two loud, fast fighter jets that flew overhead twice during the parade.
Hopefully, we can go to the Stampede and see the fireworks this year.
Some of the things there were really cool. Here are some of my favorite parts of today: (Click pictures to enlarge)
