We just got home from a trip to California. Before this trip, I'd only been to California once, but I was too young to remember it so it was really cool to see the different things to do there.
Our first stop was San Diego.
We stayed on an island just a few minutes from San Diego called Coronado, at a nice hotel called the
Glorietta Bay Inn. In Coronado, I learned to boogie board. The water was cold but the weather was warm enough to go in to the ocean without a wetsuit. Boogie Boarding is really easy. You just wait for a wave that doesn't have any white on it, then when the wave is forming white at the top, lay on your stomach on the board and start kicking facing the opposite direction of the wave. That way, when the wave comes, it will push you all the way back to shore.

My favorite part of San Diego was going to
Sea World. At Sea World we saw two shows, a dolphin show and a orca whale show. They were really fun but it was too hot to stay the whole time. We also saw a lot of other animals like fish, turtles, sharks, penguins, seals and polar bears. There are even some really fun splash rides at Sea World.

If you're ever in San Diego, I really recommend trying boogie boarding and going to Sea World!
